The discussion of plate tectonics is very timely considering Japanese disaster. What I find most tragic, yet interesting is the compounding effect of the quake, tsunami and the nuclear meltdown. I think it will take Japan decades to recover…maybe longer.
And it all began with shifting tectonic plates.
