Much More than Dangerous
(Tribute to the Hunger Games)
By E.E Lu
Firm on the ground but
My heart skips a jump
This is something I always new
But never imagined to be true
I hear the bell’s torturous ring
To alert the darkness that bring
And by that perfect timing
We all are released into the ring
And twenty-three families who watch until the end,
Will cry and feel sick, look towards a friend.
And the children returned,
Their eyes deepened and dead
for their entertainment
for families in dread
as their tears roll from their hollow eyes
Remember the message the capitol said
as the innocent souls step into that gate
they swallow their breaths
and think of their fate
they can only stand there
and wait

It‘s quiet in here! Why not leave a response?
